About Carl Kafka
Carl Kafka began his career in criminal law in 1987. After graduating from Boston College with an accounting degree he had originally planned to become a tax attorney. It was a single criminal law class at Tulane University Law School that changed his mind. He became fascinated with the nuances of criminal law, as well as the preservation of civil liberties. Carl first worked as a prosecutor in Miami. After four years working as an Assistant State Attorney, Carl decided to open his law practice representing individuals in Miami-Dade State and Federal Criminal Courts.
Carl was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and has lived in Miami since graduating from law school. Carl and his wife, Lynne, are the proud parents of Dorothy, an attorney in Miami, and Carl, Jr., a law student at the University of Miami. When he is not working you will find Carl on the tennis courts or photographing sporting events.
